Latviešu Pasaulē (Latvians Abroad) will be on display at the AABS conference in Houston Hall, University of Pennsylvania.
The exhibit proposes that the Displaced Persons camps in Germany had a far-reaching and positive effect on the subsequent émigré life of the refugees in their host countries because the camps gave people time to recover from the trauma of war and loss and to start to develop an ideology and build institutions.
