In the nineteenth century, for economic and political reasons, the first wave of Lithuanian emigrants came to the United States. The Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania created this display to show the activities of Lithuanian-American organizations in that time period through a look at their published books, newspapers, stamps, photos and receipts.
