Travel Advice

The best airport to fly to for participants coming from Europe is London Stansted Airport. From there, the quickest way to Cambridge is direct train from the airport to Cambridge central station which takes about half an hour and costs £13.40. For train schedule and tickets, please visit www.thetrainline.com. You can also purchase train tickets at the station. A taxi from Stansted Airport to Cambridge costs between £70 – £110, depending on the time of day. There is a Taxi desk near the exit from the airport where you can order a quick service to Cambridge.

Most participants from outside Europe will be arriving at London Heathrow Airport. From there, travellers are advised to take the London Tube (metro) direct to London King’s Cross train station (50 min.) and then the train to Cambridge (50 min).

Please note that according to new regulations, all travelers from abroad (including those coming from the EU) will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in order to enter the UK. All the information on how to apply can be found here.
