Project Overview

The AABS Janis Grundmanis Fellowship will significantly contribute toward Kalniņa’s tuition and enable her to begin her studies at one of the top-ranked film programs in the world, fully immersing herself in the art of both writing and directing. The first-year curriculum includes the creation of several short films, a feature-length script, and hands-on development of directing, screenwriting, and producing skills. Additionally, Kalniņa will form collaborative relationships that will continue beyond film school.
