Kristofers Krumins is graduating in 2024 with a BA degree in politics and government from Sciences Po, while spending the last year of his degree at Columbia University on exchange. His time in the US has pushed him to pivot towards studying Political Science and the politics of identity of Eastern Europe, particularly the Baltic States, Ukraine, and Russia. Krumins is a member of the Baltic Studies working group at Yale University and serves as the United Nations Youth Delegate of Latvia.

Project Overview

To pursue his interest in Eastern Europe even further, Krumins will attend the Masters of Arts program in Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies (MAERES) program at Georgetown University. “The Grundmanis Fellowship will be indispensable for enabling me to pursue my graduate degree,” said Krumins. “I intend to utilize my studies to bring knowledge back home.”
