Emerging Scholars Grants
AABS invites applications for research grants of up to $6,000 in any field of Baltic Studies. Funds may be used for travel, duplication, materials, equipment, or other needs as specified.
The application deadline for academic year 2025-2026 was February 1, 2025.
Award notifications will be made in April 2025.
AWARD: Up to $6,000
Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
Applicants must be current AABS members at the time of application.
Applicants must have received PhD no earlier than January 1, 2015.
Proposals will be evaluated according to the scholarly potential of the applicant and the quality and scholarly importance of the proposed work, especially to the development of Baltic Studies. Funds may be used for travel, duplication, materials, equipment, or other needs as specified.
Guidelines for Application:
1. Check that your AABS membership is active and complete the online grant application form.
2. The application must include a proposal packet (single PDF file, in English), which must consist of the following:
a) One-page proposal;
b) One-page budget specifying expenses;
c) One-page Curriculum Vitae;
d) A writing sample of no more than 25 pages (in English).
